Certificate IV in Disability

Certificate IV in Disability is a Nationally recognised qualification for
people who provide care and support to people with a disability.

You will apply knowledge and skills gained to provide training and support to people with disabilities to encourage them to achieve greater levels of self reliance, independence, and community participation.

You may report to service managers and liaise with health professionals and other service agencies.

You may work without direct supervision and be required to supervise and/or co-ordinate a limited number of lower classified workers.

Workers at this level are required to have an understanding of Indigenous culture and history and to work with local communities in the provision of services.

To gain a national qualification you need to prove competence in 10 compulsory and 5 elective units.

Little Learners Early Intervention Program in Forbes, Western NSW provides support for children 0-5 who have a disability and/ or delayed development. We work closely with their family to empower and promote optimal growth and development to maximise the child's potential.

Transition to Work Programs and Post-school options provide school leavers with training options to enhance their quality of life and assist them in their new roles in a variety of community activities or work endeavours.
