Once we have found the medium that the student is most comfortable with, we will then concentrate with various methods and subjects using the chosen medium.

We try to make the classes fun and entertaining so as to not feel like "school", this outlook has proved successful as some of our students have been attending classes for years now. We are proud to have produced several winners in local school shows and even art scholarships to a highly rated private schools.

The Gold Coast Art School was established in 1995 under the name "Southport Art & Film Studios". In the year 2000, the name was changed to what it is now in order to give a clearer definition.

The aim of the school has not changed since the beginning, that is, to teach people to paint and draw in a simplified and systematic manner making it easier to understand. We have a practical and "hands on" approach using applied demonstration and technique.

Since its establishment, the school's method of teaching has given it a reputation as one of the leading and biggest art schools in Queensland if not Australia which has resulted in several expansions to accommodate student demand. The school continues to grow as we are working on new rooms and we currently have 5 experienced teachers, each with their own special but unified teaching abilities.
