Thank you from doMore

I'd like to thank you for being involved in the community and the team and I hope that you've received value from being a part of it.

doMore was our original passion project born out of the desire to help connect people wanting to learn something new with experts that could teach them over 10 years ago.

Over the years we have helped almost 70,000 learners connect with one of over 1,500 courses and providers, across the country. For that, we're very proud and grateful for your contribution. also served to teach us about how to help measure and improve business performance and inspired the launch and growth of two other companies as a result, one of which we've decided to dedicate our resources and energy to making great.

We'll be switching the site off on Tuesday 31st of July. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly on [email protected].

Thanks again and good luck with your teaching endeavours in the future.

Warm regards,

The doMore team.

Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be a teacher. When I finished school I went off to uni and gained a teaching degree just as I’d always wanted and it is undoubtedly one of the most satisfying careers imaginable. Each and everyone of us is an individual and we process the world in different ways. I have always enjoyed working with my students to find the way the new information I am presenting makes sense to THEM and watching their faces light up when they “get it”.
I have also always enjoyed photography, the thrill of getting the photos back from the film processing lab and looking through to see if you got any good ones and the amazement of the first digital cameras and the ability to see it right away!. When my first child was born I wanted to capture all of those little moments in life that are so fleeting and I wanted to do it well. We had a good camera (a canon DSLR) but I quickly discovered a good camera is not going to do it on its own. I set my mind to learning the ins and outs of our camera and to control the output by moving my infant daughter to a spot with more light or adjusting the camera settings to preserve my memories just as they were. Over the years we had another child and I continued to learn to and capture those precious moments as time went by. Eventually I decided that I wanted to build a business out of all of this and my husband and I started Seasprite Photography. I wanted to help other people preserve their memories too and to freeze that moment in time so people could look back and remember the little details, the happy times and the developing personalities of their children.
Recently I returned to teaching, a few casual days here and there, after taking time off to raise my children. I have rediscovered my first passion and now I’m combining it with my second to create Shootability. A lot of people have big expensive cameras these days but I see so many not using them to their full ability. I know not everyone wants to be a professional photographer and that’s a good thing! running a business is a lot of hard work and it’s definitely not for everyone, but if you have spent all that money on a “good camera” isn’t it worth spending the time to learn to use it properly and get the most out of it? Don’t you want to learn how to use the different modes on that dial and when to choose which one?
My aim with Shootability is to assess your current skill level, listen to what you would like to learn and help you to gain that new level of understanding. I want you to be able to pick up that camera and feel confident that you can capture the moment without always relying on the camera to do it for you. I am also offering tuition in the use of photo editing software to enhance the wonderful images you’re now creating and maybe even create something you’re proud to hang on the wall.
We’re based in Shellharbour, NSW and currently offering one on one and small group tuition in the convenience of your own home at a time that suits you. The current fee is $100/hr or $200 for 3hrs. This initial promotional price covers up to 3 people and won’t last long so grab a couple of friends, split the cost and learn to use that shiny new camera!
