This confined space course has been designed to comply with the requirements of two seperate confined space competencies, one from the Resource and Infrastructure training package, RIIOHS202A - Enter and Work in a Confined Space and the other from the Water Industry training package, NWP219A - Work safely in confined spaces. This offers choice to trainees about which of the competencies suit their work suitation best. Either competency is a potential outcomes from successfully completing the SafeTSolutions confined space course. Decide which suits you best during the registration process on day one of the course.

AS 2865 is inscribed in the QLD WHS Regulations and forms the basis for regulation in all other states and territories. This course prepares trainees to comply with their legal obligations whilst developing their skills to do so.

This course is not just covering a sub section required for a specific task but addresses all requirements for compliance with the legal requirements when working in or on confined spaces, completing permits, identifying hazards, assessing risks and implementing controls or developing and practising emergency response plans but without using breathing apparatus.

The course is delivered over a two eight hour days (7.45am - 4pm each day) and consists of modules covering the Legislation, Confined Space definition, Risk Assessment, Permits, Rescue, Confined Space equipment including gas detectors.

A practical sessions covers preparation to enter a confined space, completing a permit to enter, entry to work and then a rescue following a simulated incident in the space as well as using & testing gas detectors.

Assessment of trainees are by way of a written exams and observation of classroom participation as well as the succsessfull completion of the practical session. A reasonable level of english communication skills and a basic fitness level is required to complete the training.

Upon successfull completion trainees will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and a small plastic wallet card indicating successfully completed competency.

We have since decided that a conflict of interest exist when selling equipment whilst providing training. Thus we now totally focus on providing high quality training.

Training activities primarily focus on providing training in Queensland, NSW, PNG with the occasional training in the other states and territories. Training is facilitated in Salisbury, Brisbane or your site.

Our prime business focus since the early 1990’s has always been to provide Confined Space Entry and Height Safety training backed by associated services.
