Thank you from doMore

I'd like to thank you for being involved in the doMore.com.au community and the team and I hope that you've received value from being a part of it.

doMore was our original passion project born out of the desire to help connect people wanting to learn something new with experts that could teach them over 10 years ago.

Over the years we have helped almost 70,000 learners connect with one of over 1,500 courses and providers, across the country. For that, we're very proud and grateful for your contribution.

doMore.com.au also served to teach us about how to help measure and improve business performance and inspired the launch and growth of two other companies as a result, one of which we've decided to dedicate our resources and energy to making great.

We'll be switching the site off on Tuesday 31st of July. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly on [email protected].

Thanks again and good luck with your teaching endeavours in the future.

Warm regards,

The doMore team.

Subject: Poetry

Each week participants submit a poem, piece of poetry or set of lyrics to other course members via email. The course is aimed at the level of the participants involved and is designed for poets who wish to improve their writing, but who might not be able to attend a specific location where a course is being held. The Australian Poetry Centre is a not-for-profit, incorporated association established to promote reading, writing and publishing activities associated with Australian poetry in all of its forms. The APC, launched 7 June 2007, is supported by the State Government of Victoria through Arts Victoria and the City of Literature initiative, the Australia Council, Pratt Foundation and Ian Potter Foundation and has grown out of the important work of Ron Pretty and the Poetry Australia Foundation.

The objectives of the Australian Poetry Centre are to:

* strengthen the presence and profile of Australian poetry within Australia and overseas
* promote the writing, reading, and appreciation of poetry as an integral part of personal and community life

In furthering these objectives, the APC will:

* contribute to policy development in government, corporate, educational and community agencies
* support the publishing, distribution, marketing, and reviewing of poetry
* advance the writing of poetry and the better understanding of poetry in schools and universities, and also in the wider community
* establish networks and links between writers, readers, publishers, and poetry-related organisations in Australia and overseas
* present, participate in, or support forums such as websites, readings, festivals, conferences and journals
