Is this course suitable for me?
This course is suitable if you are working in an OHS role (for example Safety Coordinator, Safety Committee member or Safety officer) and you want to grow, or get formal recognition of your knowledge and skills. It is also relevant if you have some responsibility for safety in the workplace or if you would like to pursue a career in safety.

Career opportunities
After completing this course you will be able to work in the field of health and safety, and be responsible for health and safety functions within a workplace.

How is course content covered?
This course is covered via online or distance learning. You can study at your own pace (within a maximum of 12 months). Our team of safety professionals will contact you and can be reached for ongoing support.

Formal class room training is available for corporate groups (minimum class size 10). Please contact us for further information on how our OHS training can be tailored to your workplace.

Entry Requirements
Sound language, literacy and numeracy skills are need to complete this course. Access to a computer with broadband internet access is needed for our e-learning option. Access to a computer and the internet for research and typing of assignments is beneficial for distance learning students.

Recognition of Prior Learning
If you have completed study in any of the course units or already have safety skills, you can apply to have these skills recognised through our RPL process. To apply for RPL you can complete the application in our Participants Handbook or contact us for more information.
