Derivatives Adviser Course

The Derivatives Adviser Knowledge & Skills course is designed for individuals who require authorisation by an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) holder to provide advice on regulated Derivatives products.

For existing authorised representatives, successful completion of this course allows you to extend your advisory range into Derivatives products.
Focused on your Success

We recognise that employers are increasingly looking for candidates who are aware of the challenges of being a successful financial adviser. Often a candidate’s Qualification is the only evidence that they possess the technical knowledge and skills requirements to conduct themselves professionally as an authorised representative.

“RG146 Training Australia simply makes our lives easier. Their professional problem-solving approach allows us to focus on other parts of the business; safe in the knowledge that RG146 graduates have what is takes to provide our clients with sound and accurate advice.” Charles Cavallaro, Professional Development Coordinator, Asgard, Securitor, St George

Classroom Learning or Distance Learning, how do you know which method is right for you?

The following guide covers some of the major differences between classroom learning and distance learning to help you decide which method will best meet your needs.

Flexibility
With distance learning you complete your coursework at the time and place of your choosing. Whereas with classroom learning, the dates, times and venue for our workshops are set, so you have to be able to take time out to attend the classes. If you are disciplined, self-motivated and able to study on your own distance learning would be ideal for you. If you are not, then classroom learning would be better for you.

Communication
With distance learning you can correspond with our Distance Education Support Team (DEsupport) via email or communicate by telephone. If you like quick exchange of ideas with the teacher and other students then you may prefer a classroom learning environment.

Interaction
Distance learning can’t replace face to face interaction. Classroom learning gives you the opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas and share learning experiences with other people from different walks of life. Very often we have students who are already in the financial services industry that you can learn from.

Learning and Skills Development
For some students, this is difficult without direct face to face input and feedback from a teacher. All our teachers have had many years of industry experience. They share their knowledge and skills with the students. Not only do you gain book knowledge, but you also practical knowledge. Our teachers will use real life examples to explain concepts.

Completion
Classroom learning students generally complete the courses quicker than distance learning students.

Price
Distance learning is cheaper than classroom learning. The difference in price is for the additional practical knowledge and skills gain from our teachers and for the assistance provided by them.

Decision
Whichever method you choice depends on what you want and what your personal circumstance is. I am happy to enrol you whichever method you choose to learn. Would you prefer distance learning or classroom learning?
