Time to time out
I encourage you to set everything else aside while on your mat and instead focus on your Self, inside and out. Enjoy this time with yourself. Yoga uses physical postures to build your awareness. All that matters during your physical practice is what takes place within the four corners of your own mat. In turn, this opens up for the mental and spiritual practice of increasing awareness.A focus on Alignment
I teach with a deliberate attention to correct alignment in each posture. Ensuring correct alignment is important to protect the body, especially its bones, joints, tendons and ligaments, as well as allowing for optimal and efficient circulation of prana (energy), blood, oxygen, and other vital systems throughout the body.Playfulness
I invite you to bring an open mind, your sense of humour and a childlike curiosity. You will play with the postures, explore your limits and fall out of poses. And it is so much easier to get back onto the proverbial horse if you can smile, laugh, breathe and try again. Life is too short not to enjoy a good giggle.

My vinyasa classes aim to be grounding and rejuvenating. I incorporate dynamic and creative sequences where the different poses are brought together by uniting the breath, body and mind in a flow. Classes finish with relaxation to let it all settle. I play music to soundtrack the class, going with the season, time of day and class vibe to influence my tunes of choice.
My 1-1 and private classes offer the opportunity to focus on more specific areas, whether it be shoulder injury, back pain, stress relief or improving the alignment and progress in your current practice. As one of my wise and wonderful teachers has said, "Yoga should fit you like couture", because each body is different and deserves to be treated and honoured with a tailormade practice.

"Home is where the heart is" and for me, yoga is indeed a homecoming. Whether it's on the mat and striking a pose, taking time to enjoy breathing or doing my best to be mindful of the world around me. Yoga is when I feel the most whole, the least judgemental, the most humble, the least disturbed, the most joyful - and I really like being happy. With Yoga in my life, I feel the most comfortable being me and truly connected to my heart. Teaching Yoga I have the pleasure of sharing this awesome feeling and helping others find their way home to their heart.
In November 2010, I decided to turn my life upside down, literally. With longterm boyfriend in hand, I left my northern home, and stressful advertising job, in Copenhagen, and headed south. Arriving in Melbourne in February 2011, the change of scenery and perspective inspired me to follow my passion down a much more meaningful career path: finally taking the next step on my yoga journey and completing the 500hr Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching with the Australian Yoga Academy.
My experience with Yoga started over 10 years ago with an Ashtanga yoga practice. Having always been (hyper)active and involved in competitive sports, from athletics to cross country running, gymnastics, jazz ballet, field hockey, water polo and mountain biking, doing something for the Self was intriguing. An inquisitive soul, I have since expanded my horizons and explored other styles such as Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa flow, Anusara, Restorative and Yin Yoga.
Workshops have always played an important part in furthering my practice and understanding of Yoga. I have attended workshops with internationally recognised teachers such as Desiree Rumbaugh, Ross Rayburn, Cindi Lee, Nicky Knoff, Simon Borg-Olivier and Donna Farhi. All of my experiences continue to inspire me, my practice and my teaching. Continuing to learn and practice is how to become better, and with Yoga there is no best, only better.
