What does the Speech & Drama Syllabus Program offer?

It offers the opportunity to sit for examinations in a range of subjects including Performance, Communication and Verse and Prose. We use a range of syllabuses to choose from national and internationally recognised Speech and Drama Examination Boards which provide qualifications in teaching, performing arts and effective communication.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
All students in the Speech & Drama Syllabus Program are involved throughout the year in public performances such as:

- Overload Poetry Festival

- Autumn Sun Festival
- Melbourne Arts Factory in-house stage and screen productions

We are a centre for those with an interest towards the artform of acting. We design programs and projects with the intention of producing innovative, inspiring and creative productions for screen and stage to challenge the developing skills and minds of each individual.

About Us

The creative journey is one which explores the human condition. It takes place in travelling within each individual to achieve a rich personal and professional quality unique to them. Melbourne Arts Factory’s programs and productions provide creative ways to train and work. It also gives opportunities for all participants to develop their techniques and skills in all endeavours of performance and personal growth.

A number of scripts at Melbourne Arts Factory enter the writing and production process for theatre, film and television. There are many opportunities for students to become involved in these projects as well as guidance in developing their own creative work.
