Answering "Why DJAZZEX is the place for Dance and Pilates in Brookvale?"

Posted by DJAZZEX on May 17, 2011

Whilst working as a professional dancer in Europe, Lisa was enthralled and captivated by the modern contemporary dance company called DJAZZEX, based in Holland.

This company was co-founded by Glenn van der Hoff.  He was also the artistic director  of the company from 1982 - 1997.  The company was based in the Hague in the Nederlands, and won national and international acclaim.

Their works were dynamic, athletic and fresh, and used music that had a strong beat, similar to a lot of the popular music of the time and with a distinct jazz flavour.  Through the centuries, dance has gone from strength to strength and evolved through countless changes, because of the inspiration that is passed on from one generation to another.

In honour and memory of the inspiration gained from the brilliant performances of DJAZZEX under the artistic direction of Glenn van der Hoff, Lisa decided to call the school DJAZZEX, the dance school, in the hope that the same inspiration can be passed on to the students of the school.
