Thank you from doMore

I'd like to thank you for being involved in the doMore.com.au community and the team and I hope that you've received value from being a part of it.

doMore was our original passion project born out of the desire to help connect people wanting to learn something new with experts that could teach them over 10 years ago.

Over the years we have helped almost 70,000 learners connect with one of over 1,500 courses and providers, across the country. For that, we're very proud and grateful for your contribution.

doMore.com.au also served to teach us about how to help measure and improve business performance and inspired the launch and growth of two other companies as a result, one of which we've decided to dedicate our resources and energy to making great.

We'll be switching the site off on Tuesday 31st of July. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly on [email protected].

Thanks again and good luck with your teaching endeavours in the future.

Warm regards,

The doMore team.

Over 70% of all our students are professional people wanting to learn Auslan due to working with Deaf / Hard of Hearing and non verbal children and adults. 20% are TAFE and University students wanting to learn Auslan because it will be useful in their chosen professional field once their studies are completed. 10% are people wanting to learn a new language or have family and friends who are deaf.

Auslan is more than just a language. It is non verbal and visual and in our courses we have a lot of pair and group work so you can practice sentences and activities with the signs you have been taught and learnt.

In Level 1 you will learn signs linked to the following categories:
- Social
- Family
- Instructions
- Sports
- Emotions
- Food and drink
- Everyday common signs
- Colors and animals
- Australian State
And the list goes on. All signs that are useful and that can be used everyday.

Additionally we’ll introduce you to deaf technology (how do we communicate on the phone to hearing people) and we’ll keep you informed of what is happening in the Deaf community such as volunteering opportunities, sporting events, local deaf clubs because these can provide you with practical real life signing opportunities.

The Deaf community is a great and vibrant community that we are all proud to be a part of. My teachers and l would love to introduce you to this world where you can use Auslan as part of your everyday life in work, socially, with friends or just as an interest because really, there is no other non verbal language like this in Australia. It is unique.

We are all passionate about teaching Auslan and creating awareness about deafness and we look forward to welcoming you to our world through our Auslan courses.
