Support

Thank you from doMore

I'd like to thank you for being involved in the doMore.com.au community and the team and I hope that you've received value from being a part of it.

doMore was our original passion project born out of the desire to help connect people wanting to learn something new with experts that could teach them over 10 years ago.

Over the years we have helped almost 70,000 learners connect with one of over 1,500 courses and providers, across the country. For that, we're very proud and grateful for your contribution.

doMore.com.au also served to teach us about how to help measure and improve business performance and inspired the launch and growth of two other companies as a result, one of which we've decided to dedicate our resources and energy to making great.

We'll be switching the site off on Tuesday 31st of July. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly on [email protected].

Thanks again and good luck with your teaching endeavours in the future.

Warm regards,

The doMore team.

The Dual Certificate IV in Leisure and Health and Ageing Support (CHC43415 + CHC43015), is designed to be undertaken by all staff members looking to further build their ageing support skills and developing leisure and health work practice. This course will support staff to unlock the deeper values and beliefs that are key to working within the aged care and leisure and health sector.

This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services and leisure and health workers who develop, deliver and evaluate individual and group programs for better health outcomes.

Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery. Our program creates advanced practitioner graduates that can work in different service delivery positions in residential facilities.

Graduates will learn the importance and implementation of person centred care and how to put the client’s needs and wants at the forefront of all decisions and activities.

Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.

Foundation skills are required for competency in this qualification and have been embedded within our program. Students will need to have basic computer literacy skills to be able to access some learning materials and to complete parts of their assessment tasks.

This course is primarily delivered face-to-face with workplace-based projects, workplace-based reflective activities and observations included. This method has been chosen as the cohort are existing workers in residential aged care settings.

The variety of activities has been designed to meet the typical learning needs of the cohort in relation to computer literacy, language and numeracy. The methods used recognise that existing workers seeking to obtain both Certificate IV qualifications need to be suitably challenged to develop specialist skills and knowledge in ageing support and leisure and health.

The key learning areas within the course are:

Coordinating Services
Policy and Partnership development
Reflective practice and Learning transfer
Stories of Practice
Program design, development, delivery and evaluation
