Rapid release from emotional distress with Thought Field Therapy

The way we do the things we do
By Christopher Semmens

Sounds like a song title doesn’t it?

But seriously have you ever wondered why we do the things we do?

Our collection of life experiences contributes to the making of us.

We are who we are and we do the things we do based on the residual effects of the things,
circumstances and memories of our past.

Close your eyes for a minute and think of a memory.

What is the first one that pops into your head? Is it a strong memory? Is it a good memory or is it a bad one?

Now consider your frame of mind – right now: Are things going really well for you or, perhaps, not so well.

How are you processing what’s going on for you - right now: With a optimistic attitude or with a negative bent?

Think back again to the memory you just brought to mind and consider whether what you do or how you do what you do could be driven by underlying unresolved life issues.

Where things seem to be consistently not going well, there may be not just one but many unresolved life issues that have stacked up one on top of the other - on top of the next like a precariously balanced pile of pancakes.

You’re coping quite well until bang – the pancake stack topples and you just can’t function as well as you would like let alone see yourself going anywhere else but further down.

Many mental health practitioners appear to approach the provision of care to their clients from a standpoint of applying a diagnosis which then points them in the direction of various treatment approaches relating to the diagnosis.

A cynical view here could be that this can amount to a pigeon holing of clients and a subsequent railroading of treatment.

A person centred approach rather than a diagnosis driven treatment plan can mean that a more open view of the whole...

What is Tantra?

Posted by Lotus Tantra on August 18, 2014

What is Tantra?
yab yum lotus

Tantra is a spiritual path that leads to higher consciousness and bliss. Tantra is not a religion, it is more a way of life, and has been practised all of the world for thousands of years.
The word tantra itself can be understood by breaking it down into its parts….”tan” refers to the tension created through separation and dualism. “tra” means to transcend, to transcend this dualistic mentality towards a realisation of oneness, of unity.
Tantra speaks a lot about the separation we have created between the masculine aspect (Shiva) and the feminine aspect (Shakti). What lies within you is a potent, powerful force known as Kundalini, which lies dormant in the mooladhara (root chakra). Once it is activated it becomes Shakti kundalini, as it passes up through the chakras to join with Shiva, located in sahasrara (crown chakra). The ultimate goal of tantra (or any spiritual path) is the union of the Shakti and Shiva energies within us through the awakening of the kundalini. This is the act of transcending dualities and merging into unified oneness with the divine nature of the Omniverse. Tantra enables us to be grounded to the Shakti/feminine energy of Mother Earth whilst simultaneously...

Leave me alone, you Daffi-ANT!

Posted by Libertylife on November 04, 2010

If you’ve never had a negative thought, stop reading now. If you’ve had one, let me introduce you to the Daffi-Ant Syndrome. We’ve all had it, at least at one point in our lives. Well, at least we’ve all had ANT. A Negative Thought.
These ANTs are so powerful. They often appear in long trails one after another, relentlessly invading our minds, easily nesting there where they breed to plague proportions! These ANTs need something to feed on to give them uncompromising strength to rob us of our peace of mind. So what do we give them? Doubt, Anger, False Fear and Ignorance - DAFFI.
Know your ANTs. Delve into your deeper consciousness and you might find a well-organised army of DoubtANTs, AngerANTs, FearANTs, IntolerANTs, EgoANTs, IgnorANTs, CriticANTs, ArrogANTs and, especially, cAN’Ts. This army is determined to defeat out resolve, growth and inner calm.
We need to wage war against these ANTs! Build resistANTs and build shields of positive energy to fight against the disease of negativity. Just like a virus, we’re being attacked by tiny enemies, not just one big one. The...

Origins of Kinesiology
Australians now spend over one billion annually on natural therapies. Of these natural therapies, Kinesiology, now practised in over 104 countries, has experienced one of the most rapid growths and has recently been classified by the Australian National Training Association as a complementary medicine. Subsequently some of Australia's major health funds are now including Kinesiology in their rebate schemes.
The peak body for Kinesiology in Australia, the Australian Kinesiology Association numbers are growing with registered professional practitioners, and also some of the most highly respected kinesiology researchers and teachers in the world.
The association defines Kinesiology as: “…encompassing holistic health disciplines which use the art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person's well-being.  It combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements, which inhibit the body's natural internal energies and accesses the life enhancing potential within the individual."
In the 1970s American chiropractor Dr George Goodheart developed Applied Kinesiology.  Goodheart incorporated reflex points from both osteopathy and chiropractics and embraced techniques derived from Chinese medicine using acupressure and the five element theory of the meridian system - the framework of many kinesiology modalities today.  In terms of its dual East-West roots, Kinesiology actually goes back thousands of years.
Today Psych-energetics extends the traditions of Kinesiology in its own distinctive fashion.
Psych-energetics is a branch of Kinesiology that has been endorsed by the profession as a unique and powerful system of mind-body medicine.  The combination of various techniques together with Psych-energetics own carefully researched and developed assessment and treatment protocols and the universally employed kinesiology techniques have resulted in the creation of Psych-energetics.”
A Quantum Leap
A leap of consciousness seems to be the key to transformation, and this is an area we work toward with our clients in Psych-energetics™.  The word quantum is used when a scientist thinks of sudden changes, indicating a leap from one level of functioning to a higher level – a quantum leap – the leap to an advanced position, and the irreducible level of force, can be associated to the healing mechanism.
Deepak Chopra’s says “The human body is controlled by a network of intelligence grounded in quantum reality, not a superficial psychological state; this intelligence lies deep enough to change the basic patterns that design our physiology.”  Deepak goes on to discuss in his books the ample evidence demonstrating our ability to...

Sensergetics

Sensergetics:  Alleviating Bio-energetic Imbalances
Sensergetics is unique in its adaptation of methodologies, combining holistic healing techniques based in Chinese medicine, kinesiology, chiropractics and neuro-therapeutic techniques to facilitate balance and assess nutrition and other substances that may affect the energy anatomy.
In Sensergetics an imbalance is referred to as a disturbance within your subtle energy anatomy when it is exposed to a particular substance.  A disruption of the natural balance within these previously synchronised processes may cause a change in the electromagnetic field in various parts of the body.  This is why the treatment protocols are aimed at the energetic and neurological discrepancy which may either contribute to or allow the condition to exist, and not at the condition itself.
Growing numbers are embracing a relatively new modality called Sensergetics, developed by complementary medicine practitioner Lyn Treloar.
Australians now spend over one billion annually on natural therapies.  Of these natural therapies, Kinesiology, now practised in over 104 countries, has experienced one of the most rapid growths and has recently been classified by the Australian National Training Association as a complementary medicine. As a result some of Australia's major health funds are now including Kinesiology in their rebate schemes and Sensergetics falls under this category.
Sensergetics has been granted the prestigious honour of being accreditation by the peak body for Kinesiology, the Australian Kinesiology Association at the highest level alongside some of the most highly respected kinesiology researchers and course authors in the world.
Origins of Sensergetics™
In the 1970s American chiropractor Dr George Goodheart developed Applied Kinesiology.  Goodheart incorporated reflex points from both osteopathy and chiropractics and embraced techniques derived from Chinese medicine using acupressure and the five element theory of the meridian system - the framework of many kinesiology modalities today.  In terms of its dual East-West roots, Kinesiology actually goes back thousands of years.
Today Sensergetics extends the traditions of Kinesiology in its own distinctive fashion with its focus on the bio-energetic testing and therapeutic methods to alleviate imbalances in regards to nutrition and other substances.
How does Sensergetics™ work?
Sensergetics applies the art and science of muscle response testing as a bio-feedback mechanism into the human ‘bio-computer’ - the mind/body system.  Using the kinesiology principle of muscle response testing the Sensergetics practitioner “taps” into the patient’s body via the muscles and nervous system to measure different physical responses to seek out bio-feedback to determine what substances the client may be bio-energetically reacting to.  The muscle response testing technique is also applied to determine the preferable technique for treatment specific to each client.
The Kinesiology method of Muscle response testing is a simple procedure and begins with the clients arm bent at the elbow at approximately a 90 degree angle, while the practitioner applies gentle pressure to his or her arm. The practitioner looks for subtle changes displayed by the client’s muscle responses.  These changes constantly give the practitioner feedback, either confirming or denying the ‘tests’ on the client.  These changes constantly give the practitioner feedback.  Each ‘test’ - which is non-invasive – gives the practitioner more information in terms of evaluating the information gained and direction with which to continue.
