This course introduces the techniques used in Adobe Photoshop for photo-retouching, tonal correction, deep etching, image editing, colour painting and montaging. Included is a session on utilising Adobe Bridge.

Students should have a strong working knowledge of either Mac or Windows and preferably other design program experience ie InDesign or Illustrator.

The 2 day Photoshop Essentials course starts from the very beginning, looking at the toolbox, which is explored thoroughly, utilising both the surface defaults and the hidden options available for each tool. Shortcuts are emphasised, both for the tools and as a method of working.
